There are 546 individually designed fabric panels making up the Suffrage in Stitches exhibition. More than 600 people worked on making this project a reality. Come along to this special event and meet some of them!
The makers will give a guided tour of the exhibition, showing you their own work, sharing the stories behind it, the process of making, and what they learned.
The panels in the exhibition represent the lives of those who signed the petition for women’s right to vote in New Zealand.
This event takes place on two dates, 26 June and 17 July.
Suffrage in Stitches developed by Museums Wellington, in partnership with Vinnies Re Sew.
