9 November @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

FREE

Nau mai haere mai—come along to experience this year’s group of graduating students from Toioho ki Āpiti, the School of Māori Visual arts at Massey University, in a kōrero about their works. Hear more about how each artist engages with mana tangata and identity through their practice, from the perspective of Te Ao Māori, a Māori world view.

The artists in Matatau 2024 are Emily Lyall (Te Whakatōhea, Te Whānau ā Apanui), Bridie Te Ahumairangi Potts (Waikato, Ngāti Raukawa ki Wharepuhunga, Te Arawa, Ngāpuhi), Frances Dawson (Ngāti Ranginui, Pākehā) and Jordon Peterson (Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Ngāti Marukukere, Ngāti Pikiao, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Lalovaea, Leulumoega, Luatuanu’u).
