We create with our hands.

We express ourselves.

We wrap our friends and families in warmth and comfort.

🧵 With Our Hands showcases unique wearable artworks crafted by members of the Manawatū Spinners and Weavers Guild.

🧶 These blankets, garments, and accessories are expressions of a specialized artform in which raw, natural materials are transformed into beautiful objects that not only please the eye but embrace their wearers.

🧣 The Manawatū Spinners and Weavers Guild was formed in Palmerston North in 1967.

🧷Its members include not only spinners and weavers, but knitters and crocheters, dyers and felters.

👐What they all share is the motivation to learn from one another, to work with their hands, and to create objects that elicit joy.

This exhibition will be held in the Te Manawa Atrium.
