This School Holidays, join us for It’s All About the Earth, a 4-day school summer holiday programme full of activities about Earth’s prehistoric periods.
Each activity is linked to the hugely popular Science exhibition, Six Extinctions, on now at the museum.
Day 1: Dino Day | 23 Jan | 10am – 12pm and 10am – 2pm
Today’s activities are all about DINOSAURS!
Kids will get to dig for dinosaur fossils in our dino dig sandpits and have fun with dino rubbings and puzzles.

Day 2: Action for Earth | 24 Jan | 10am – 2pm
Today’s activity is all about taking action for the Earth. Kids will get play the Climate Change Game & Plant a Seed and take action for Papatūānuku.
Day 3: Investigating The Prehistoric | 25 Jan | 10am – 12pm and 10am – 2pm
Today’s activities are all about Earth’s prehistoric periods.
Kids will get to dig for dinosaur fossils in our dino dig sandpits and recreate Earth’s timeline using fun, prehistoric themed stamps.

Day 4: Fascinating Fossils | 26 Jan | 10am – 2pm
Today’s activities are all about fossils.
Through a series of fun, interactive activities kids will take a close look at fossils and learn more about them.
This summer holiday programme is open to all kids and families. Registrations are not required.
